Preparing a tire shop quote enquiry

Give the shop the details it needs and compare the complete scope.

Start with the vehicle details

Give the shop the vehicle year, make and model, along with any relevant wheel changes. Share the tire markings or photographs it requests, and ask the location to confirm the required fitment. Avoid treating a search result or an incomplete size description as confirmation that a particular tire is suitable.

Describe the work you need

Explain whether you are asking about replacement tires, a repair assessment or another service. Mention what you have noticed and how many tires are involved. Let the shop assess the job rather than assuming that a visible issue establishes the repair it needs.

Ask for the complete quotation

Request an itemised quotation identifying the proposed tires and services. Ask which fitting, balancing, valve, disposal or other charges are included where relevant. Compare like-for-like scopes, and have the shop explain any item that remains open pending inspection.

Confirm availability and next steps

Check that the quoted option is available at the location and ask how long the quotation remains valid. Discuss appointment arrangements and any stated warranty or service terms before committing. Keep the written quote with the messages so you can refer to the agreed scope at your visit.
