Planning a tire shop appointment

Confirm the location and service

Contact the individual location with your vehicle details and the work you want assessed. Check whether it offers that service and whether an appointment is required. A listing category or general chain website does not establish availability at every branch.

Discuss the visit arrangements

Ask about the arrival window, expected assessment process and whether you should wait or arrange collection. Confirm tire availability before travelling for a particular quote. If the vehicle needs a different arrangement to reach the shop, discuss the next step with the provider first.

Prepare the handover

Have your quote, service notes and contact number ready. Tell the shop about relevant wheel changes and ask what else it needs you to bring, including any wheel-lock key where applicable. Confirm who will approve work and how additional findings will be communicated.

Review the completed paperwork

At collection, ask the shop to explain the work performed and any follow-up instructions for your vehicle. Compare the invoice with the authorised scope and discuss differences before leaving. Keep the invoice and the terms of any stated tire or service warranty with your records.
